Sourcing our Hemp Seeds
We know that hemp is sustainable, but it wouldn’t be that sustainable if it was travelling long distances to get to us. That’s why we source it among others from CanBe, a Belgian farm that cultivates 100% natural and sustainable hemp.
A sustainable partnership
It was important to us that we support a business that shares our values. CanBe does just that, with a passion for quality and transparency, as well as farming practices that contribute to carbon sequestration and soil regeneration.
Short distances, small steps
Sourcing local ingredients is a key aspect of our Small Steps initiative. Small Steps was developed to help us be more mindful of our day-to-day decisions, with the sum of these small steps being a bigger overall impact.
Don’t take our word for it, try it
If you haven’t tried our hemp seeds bread yet, it’s available at your local Le Pain Quotidien. Try it with our organic egg, radish & mustard cress tartine served on organic hemp seed bread or pick up a loaf to take home. Made from locally sourced ingredients and full of nutty flavour, it’s as delicious as it’s sustainable.
